USA for 15 years, as Vice President and responsible for strategic planning for CeBIT worldwide event activities.
From 1996 until 2006 Jim also ran the company’s Global Marketing Solutions division, providing marketing, advertising,
sponsorship, publishing and other media services to international and domestic events organized by HFUSA and Deutsche Messe
AG as well as supporting individual exhibitors at those events.
Jim is also known in the high-tech sector for the past 20 years
as the publisher of CeBIT NEWS, one of the world’s largest and most successful trade show daily newspapers.
his employment with Hannover Fairs USA, Jim spent 12 years in b-to-b publishing, in the US and Europe, with ACE Electronics
Publications (multi-lingual trade magazines for the consumer electronics and computer industries), Elsevier Business Press
(b-to-b trade publications for the information and communications technology sector), and Asian Sources Media Group (multi-lingual
business publications for the computer industry). Jim also benefits from two years experience with Tokyo-based
market research firm Cores Corporation.
Having seen his last kid through university and recently acquiring his AARP
membership card, Jim is on the lookout for a new hobby to keep him young.
